From a literary perspective books are usually either window books or mirror books. Windows through which we look into lives different than others. Perhaps a different world, time, place or culture. Mirror books are the ones in which we see a reflection of our selves, that validate us, our feelings, our existence.

Growing up I didn’t read a single book that had a child like me as a character. Not even that, in some books, faith was portrayed as something of a quirk in characters. Something that only dim-witted believe in.
